Obituary for Jackie Ray Dugger
Jackie Ray Dugger, 70, Springfield, passed away at 6:27 a.m., Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 in Mercy Villa.
He was born September 9th, 1945 in Hartville, Missouri to John and Ruby(Hutson) Dugger. He married Sharon Sneed on March 23rd 1968 and to this union three sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Dugger on February 8th , 2014; his parents; one brother; and two sisters.
Jack is survived by three sons, Ronald Dugger and his wife Teresa; Jack Dugger and his wife Angela and Darrel Dugger, all of Springfield, Missouri; one brother Jerry Dugger of Hartville, Missouri; two sisters, Judy Philpott, and her husband James of Aurora Missouri and Janice Roy, and her husband, Dale, of Ava, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren ; two great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country proudly. He loved to garage sale, play bingo, go to the casino, hunt, fish and work on cars, houses and electronics. He was a hardworking, kind hearted, fun loving, gentle son, father, husband (despite what mom said, lol), grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend that would do anything for anyone. He knew no enemies and loved everyone he met. He will be missed dearly by many.
Jack requested to be cremated so a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 1st in Weller Community Church at 1624 E. Blaine, Springfield, MO, 65803. Online condolences can be made at www.hhlohmeyer.com.
