Carla Alane (Bohannon)Weber, 46, of Springfield, Missouri passed from this earth on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Cox South Hospital.
Carla was born May 27, 1969 in Columbus, Georgia to Charles and Charlotte (Benefield) Bohannon.
In 1987, Carla graduated from Troup County High School in LaGrange, Georgia. She went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from LaGrange College.
Carla was a devoted fan of Auburn University sports for the entirety of her life.
She spent ten years as an elementary school teacher and, then, in later years spent many hours volunteering at her son’s elementary school.
Carla was unselfish in her devotion to her family, the welfare and happiness of her children being constantly in her mind and plans.
Carla is survived by her spouse, Victoria (Torie)Weber; her children, Luke, Eleanor and Silas Weber of the home; her mother Charlotte Bohannon of LaGrange, Georgia; her sister, Carmen (Jeff) Wilson of LaGrange, Georgia; brothers-in-law Brian (Erin) Weber of Steele and Douglas (Betsy) Weber of Desoto; sister-in-law Sherry (Tony) Gilford of Tampa, Florida; her grandmother, Louise Bohannon of Valley, Alabama; mother-in-law Cynthia Weber of Springfield and father-in-law Richard Weber of Battlefield; 4 nieces ; 4 nephews and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
