Herbert served over here with the 493rd BG during WWII, flying 27 combat missions in B-17s, before being shot down and made a POW in Germany.

Herb was very instrumental in the founding of Delta Tau Delta at Rolla which just four weeks ago celebrated its 50 year anniversary. Herb was mentioned at this celebration several times. Thank You Herb and our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
