Jesus Cruz Orozco Jr - May 12, 1978- October 18, 2015

It is with much pain and sadness that we announce the passing of Jesus Orozco Jr. on October 18, 2015 at the age of 37 in Stafford, Virginia.
Jesus was born in Santa Ana, California on May 12, 1978. He grew up in Orange, California until the age of 15, when the family moved to Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Central High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on March 17, 1997. During his 18 years of proud service, he rose to the rank of Captain. His service had him serving in Iraq and Japan. He was recently stationed in Virginia, where he worked at the Marine Corps University in Quantico.
Jesus was very studious and active. He was very intelligent and enjoyed reading just to learn new things. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed running marathons and received many medals for completing them. He also enjoyed the sea. He learned to scuba dive and had the opportunity to fish off the coast of Japan. Thanks to his military service, his family was able to enjoy many locations around the world. He recently discovered a new hobby, wall climbing. He easily made new friends and found himself climbing 2 to 3 times per week. He learned quickly, and with his natural ability, he was climbing more difficult walls in no time.
Jesus tried to enjoy life as much as possible. With his family at his side, he was indestructible. He had so much love for his family. And everything he did was for them. He was never selfish, always putting his family ahead of himself. He was strict, but loved to laugh. He joked with his children, and enjoyed sharing hilarious videos he found online. He made time in his schedule to volunteer at the church and was a member of a bible study group. His faith in God was very strong. Before every meal, he would say a prayer, a tradition his children will carry with them for their entire lives.
He was a fan of the Dodgers, Raiders, and Lakers. It was rare to find him without one of his Dodger caps. From head to toe, he'd cover himself in Dodger gear. He shared his passion for his teams with his kids. They were able to attend various baseball games and even if the Dodgers were to lose, they considered a win because they were able to be together as a family.
Everyone who has had the chance to meet Jesus are thankful because, they found a beautiful and authentic person in him, which no other exists in the world. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Shanna, and his children Antonio Jesus, Adriana Nicole, and Caitlin Marie. He is also survived by his parents, Elvia Orozco and Jesus Orozco Sr. and his siblings Ubaldo, Fernando, Rocio, Daniel and Andres.
