Elizabeth Everett Spiller, 78, passed away at Villa St. Francis in Olathe. Memorial Mass was held 11:00 am Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Visitation was at 10:00 am before the Mass at the church. A Rosary was held at 3:00 pm Friday, March 27, 2015 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS 66030 913-856-7111. Elizabeth was born May 29, 1936 in Jefferson City, MO to Mary Elizabeth (Everett) and Thaddeus Wheeler. She graduated from St. Mary of the Springs Catholic High School and attended Ohio State and Ventura County Community College. Elizabeth worked as a contractor for the US Post Office as a business analyst in Northern Virginia for 24 years.
She was a strong-willed woman, the most generous, loving and selfless mother. She gave her life for her kids without a care for her own wants and needs. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, James Robert Wheeler and Mary Lee Schuler and her former husband, Charles James Spiller. She is survived by children: Elizabeth A. Spiller, Grandview, MO, Charles A. Spiller, Wichita, KS, Kenneth A. Spiller (Shirley), Gardner, KS, Paul A. Spiller (Anne Marie), Ashland, VA, Christopher A. Spiller, Stafford, VA;14 grandchildren;13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday August 28, 2015 in St. Mary's Cemetery Springfield, Missouri with Deacon Bill Keller officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
