Obituary for Helene Agnes Quirion (Taschler)

Helene A. Quirion, 83, Springfield passed away at 08:00 PM Saturday Aug 13th, 2016 at her home surrounded by Family and Friends.

She was born May 7th 1933 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Helen Taschler. She attended Lehigh Valley High School. She met and married Richard J. Quirion. They eventually moved to Portland, Oregon where she attended Nursing School. She retired from Bess Kaiser Hospital then opened her own Adult Foster Care homes. She loved to travel and experience new sites and immerse herself into new culture's. Her favorite past time was reading a good romance novel and playing Pogo.Through all her time and travel she has touched many lives and even more people. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Her Husband Richard; Sons Richard and Lawrence Quirion; Daughter Ingrid Smith; Brother Arthur Tashler.

She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Watkins; daughter-in-law Sue; grandchildren Scott and Andrew Smith, Brian and Matt (Ashley) Arbogast, Laura Quirion; Great-grandchildren Braden, Tashler, Allysa, Macie, and Noel. Her dear friends and nurses Sheila LaRock, and Karshta Stockton,and also her Access Hospice team for everything they have all done for everyone and for being with her through her journey these last few years.

There is a gathering at 4:00 p.m. Saturday August 20th to celebrate her life at her home in Springfield.
