Obituary for Elmer Dewey Tennis

Elmer Dewey  Tennis
Elmer D. Tennis passed away October 18, 2014 at the age of 88 years. He was born September 19, 1926 to Elmer Danney Tennis and Letia Routh Tennis on a farm near Arnica, MO. He spent 3 years in the military service. He then married Gwendolene Molder on January 15, 1949. To this union, 2 sons were born, Gregory Eugene Tennis, and wife Lenette, of Springfield, MO and Darrell Allen Tennis, and wife, Rochelle of Coto De Coza, CA. One daughter, Barbara Elaine, passed away at birth. Elmer also leaves 3 grandchildren, Aaron and Sarah Tennis of Coto De Coza, CA and John Tennis of OK; and one great grandson, Chris Tennis of OK.

Elmer managed food processing plants in California for many years and retired from Pacifica Producers of Lodi, CA in 1986 and returned to Humansville, MO. In 1992, he and Gwen moved to Springfield, MO where they became avid bowlers until health problems overcame them.

No services are planned. Elmer was cremated and buried in Alder Cemetery between Stockton and Humansville.
