Obituary for Patricia Lynn Ibrahim (Kay)

Patricia Lynn Ibrahim (Kay)
In loving memory of Patricia Lynne Kay Ibrahim who passed from this life into the next on October 8, 2014 at 54 years and 37 days of age.

She was born in Lockport, New York on September 3, 1960 to the late Daniel Henry Kay and his wife Peggy Novelle. She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at High Prairie Christian Church in Buffalo, MO in her youth.

She is survived by her only child, Mickey Eugene Sturdevant and grandson Hunter both of Springfield, MO, and her mother Peggy Kay of Buffalo, MO. Also surviving are her siblings and their loved ones, Rodney and Pamela Kay, Cindy Hardin and Terry Refitt, Melinda and Randy Merijanian, Melissa and Dan Scott, Alecia Kay, Julie and Colin Jason. She left behind nephews and nieces, David Kay, Kimberly and James Wells, Victoria and Benjamin Gocken, Ben Hardin, and Sophia Jason.

Memorial services in her honor were held at Calvary Baptist Church in Buffalo, MO on October 11, 2014.

She graduated High School in Buffalo, MO, attended Missouri State
University, and graduated from Draughn's Business College in Springfield, MO. Later, she attended court reporting school in Jacksonville, FL. The majority of her working years were spent in the family business, Hip Pocket Pizza Parlor, keeping books and servicing our loyal customers. Tricia found much enjoyment working here because of her friendships with co-workers and customers. She always had a great love of people.

Patricia was light-hearted and funny with a unique "Lucille Ball" kind of humor that was coupled with a child-like outlook. This sweet and joyful demeanor persisted in spite of a multitude of health issues. She touched lives through her easy-going acceptance of others, her quiet kindness, and willingness to trust at face value. She also loved animals, the ocean, fashion, and her family, especially her son, grandson, nieces, and nephews.

After a lifetime of physical pain and suffering, she is finally home and at peace in heaven. She wanted to be in heaven so much during her last few years. While she lived her faith never wavered. She steadfastly believed in God, and placed her hope in Him as her Rock and Salvation.

It is not sufficient to summarize the life and love of Tricia in these few
words. We appreciate the thoughts, prayers, and support of friends and family during this difficult time. And to Patricia, we will all see you in those heavenly realms one fine day, and until that time we will love you, and hold you closely in our hearts.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep by Mary Elizabeth Frye -

"Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die."
